A FRESH VISUAL TOOLKIT FOR AN URBAN WORKSHOP
Urban Lab is a municipality managed programme aiming to bring together local communities, experts in urban planning and local government officials. It is a learning hub, as well as a space for collaboration and dialogue with citizens to enable them to participate in the development of Gdynia. It was our job to make this, physical and metaphorical, space communicate the purpose of Urban Lab.
The core of UL’s visual identity is built on themes of urbanism, development and growth. The technical aesthetic of the logo references typography used in traffic signs, while the color yellow brings to mind a construction site. The selection of gadgets aims to underline the down-to-earth approach to research and planning, while bold typography and graphics reference the makeshift aesthetic of a rapidly changing cityscape.
Our team produced a variety of layouts for Urban Lab to be able to communicate their events and public consultations, a key visual guide and interior graphics to match.
