Life On Station SMPT-5
This is a project that I have been working on for more than a year, intermittently.
The idea of being in a space station always fascinated me, and what fascinated me more was telling the story of the daily life of an ordinary space station personnel in the far future.
Basically the plot was the personnel start the day in their personal quarters, take the shuttle to go to other facilities of the station where they have jobs, and finish off the day in a cozy space bar. I began experimenting with some ideas and came out with five different spaces on a fictional space station called SMPT-5.
I did minimal animations on a series of still images, five for each of the five spaces, showing variations of time and setting. On top of that, I also composed variations of soundscapes for each five of the spaces, to keep the flow more immersive.
Those five spaces are: Personal Quarters, Station Omega, Engineering Room, Plant Research Facility and Club Amigdala. The five spaces have the RGBY color palette, and in themselves they are monotone in color mostly. This also coincides with the soundscapes, as a specific sound frequency corresponds to a certain color frequency, which creates cohesiveness.

Personal Quarters [SMPTR]

This is where you wake up and start a new day. It is also a nice and cozy place to check your emails, relax and work on stuff. AC and sunlight controlling windows are in the standard package.
Station Omega [SOMG]

Station Omega is an interconnecting hub where you can go directly to most of the locations on the station. Have yourself a sandwich and soda while you wait for the next shuttle.
Engineering Room [ENGNSTP]

A seriously important space, the engineering rooms are designed to maintain the functions of the station. A robotic 6-axis maker installed in the ceiling is very useful when producing spare parts.
Plant Research Facility [PLNRF]

Food isn't easy to grow on space stations. That's where the PLNRF comes in, providing important ingredients to various diets served on the station, thanks to it's virtual climate system provided by Kira Kira Labs.
Club Amigdala [RDBAR]

This is the Club Amigdala on the space station SMPT-5, a glorious and calm, at times loud place to enhance your listening and dancing experience by looking at stars.
