Showtime promotion and design project goals
The entertainment and advertising agency Smith Geiger | Vivid Zero reached out to Kiely Design to help develop a range of design concepts for a series of upcoming Showtime Boxing PPV fights.
The pitch winning design was chosen for the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight along with a second design concept ‘REMIXED‘ which was used for a future matchup.

The chosen design concept was inspired by the bold and brash social media world of Logan Paul. Online navigation buttons and arrows nod to the sharing environment of social media. The circular element of instagram and twitter profiles was used throughout to id each of the boxers.

The promo campaign style guide
A contemporary color pallet was combined with an impactful san-serif font. The combination of color, imagery and irreverent typography made the campaign stand out on social media and in TV spots.
Social media promo design
The overarching look and feel was used to developed a series of short Youtube tune in teases. By juxtaposing the dark and light colors throughout the spot it grabbed the attention of the viewer quickly. In addition the tune in was designed to frame the content and be ever-present throughout the whole spot.
The creative exploration
As part of the pitch and development process a range of different looks were designed. Elements of the silver and black monochromatic design were ultimately integrated into the chosen design. Additionally the remixed design concept was chosen for another fight.
Remixed Design Concept
The impact of a match was emphasized through the utilization of distortion and video glitches. These fractured elements were combined with large bold typography that reacted to these moments. The footage was then remixed on top of itself to create depth and isolate key actions.
