Block printed bedcover
This classroom project was done with collaboration with Fakhruddin block print studio, Ahmedabad where we initially practiced and understand the craft of block printing technique. With the exposure of this workshop we understand the rich history of block printing in India.
Later we were given freedom to develop our own design brief to create a block print product. I saw a potential to work with basic blocks.

size- 8'x5' feet Hand crafted on cotton fabric.
Inspired by minimal abstract art, Tranquil block printed bedcover makes intelligent use of overlapping lines, to create translucent shapes and shades. Fresh green and blue coloured lines, drawn in varying rectangular shape overlap each other creating tranquil turquoise color which mimic a depth effect making this perfect bedcover to bring modern minimal elegance to any bedroom.
