Photoshop Artistry begins with images, either my photo captures or stock, which are digitally synthesized in Photoshop with filters, adjustment layers and blend modes.  Other applications such as Topaz or NIK may be applied. Multiple textures are used along with color overlays, color balance adjustment and other coloring techniques for the final effects. Some images may be digitally painted.

A few of the background elements are my own captures but most of the elements are stock.  Many of these were enhanced with photoshop styles for the gold effects.  The title of this one is the "Midas Touch."

King Midas met Dionysus in the rose garden where he was granted a wish to turn everything he touched to gold. But the gift would soon be realized as a curse as his beautiful roses, his food and even his precious daughter were turned to gold. Begging to reverse the spell, Dionysus instructed him to wash in the river Pactolus and the "Midas Touch" was removed.
