Logo design improvement

Brand logo design from the beginning of the year to the end while taking a design class
In my previous logo, I think I focused too much on trying to get my point across in one little square. For instance, I wanted to add little symbols that represent clothes like the hanging rack and the hanger above the logo and I also tried making the background look like a washer machine. It became too much for one logo, so this time round I changed the typography into a bold vintage 80’s look/ feel to it. I also added some text under the main logo to explain the store. I know when I'm designing I used to be scared to add too much text into one logo but then soon realized after taking the class and doing the final project that it might be necessary to add more small subtexts into the logo so that it can really show off what the brand/store really is without having the “audience” try and guess what they are buying or getting themselves into. So I've definitely grown in that aspect of designing. I also added the cloud with the rainbow of colors coming down from it because I think it is a great representation of the “made-up store” in the sense that the clothes can look different in any way shape or form and you can make something beautiful out of it, Hints the rainbow. I went for a more simplistic design which I like because sometimes it can get overwhelming and the audience would freight away from it. So overall I like the changes I've made to the previous logo. It really shows how much I've grown in this class.
