FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022
Overview
Qatar is going to make history by hosting not only their first FIFA World Cup but the first-ever to be staged in the Middle East. They have used this opportunity to work on developing an exceptional experience for the fans, and to create a lasting legacy for Qatar, the Middle East, Asia, and the world.
Our role
We were responsible for developing the theme and drawing custom illustrations for Aurums, which are 24 Karat gold sheets to commemorate the occasion of celebrating this event. The chosen theme for this project includes Qatar’s architectural landmarks, world cup stadiums, elements of Qatar’s history, and their national day logo.
Design 01
Fifa World Cup
The general idea behind this design mostly revolves around football and that is why we have showcased a football player as an iconic image of the whole Fifa World Cup in the middle of our design, highlighting an intense and exciting moment of a player scoring a goal in the middle of an arena full of excited fans.
As the World Cup is about football and football players, this design was made to show the player as the center of focus for the whole event. On the upper side, we have mixed the heritage with the region's natural elements, modern skyscrapers and desert dunes. The design also features geometric shapes of Islamic patterns as a reference to the rich Islamic history and culture of Qatar. We have also demonstrated essential elements of Qatar like stamps, falcons, and other symbols.
Design 02
National Day of Qatar
The Qatar National Day is a very special day in the country as it marks a significant chapter in Qatar’s rich legacy. We have gathered the main elements of this day, the stadium, which is one of the venues of the 2022 football tournament, is an important element in our design, and that is why we have given it the spotlight along with the audience.
The logo of the National Day is in the middle of the design, marking its significance. On the sides, we have placed stamps of Qatar, some symbols that are important to the history and traditions of Qatar, and Qatar’s flag.

Modern landmarks of Qatar
Qatar is a country that knows how to keep its rich tradition and history alive. At the same time, they embrace the importance of creating a modern city with technological advancements and architectural landmarks.
The inspiration behind our design came from the importance of the National Day in the heart of every Qatari citizen. It is an occasion to celebrate the country’s achievements. The logo of the National Day rises through Qatar's skyline, marking its significance. On the sides, we have placed a stamp of Qatar, some symbols that are important to the history and traditions of Qatar, and the flag of Qatar.
