So I happened to qualify for an elite World Cup team, in spite of my sad lack of coordination... Thanks to Jeff Rozic and all of the amazing designers in Tribal Soccer's 32 Nations project, it's been a great experience!
I'm a truthful guy; all about the facts, y'all. So here are some facts for you.
Fact 1: Ghanaians are football-mad.
Fact 2: We love stories, especially about the occult and the supernatural. (Evidence: any Ghanaian movie.)
Fact 3: Our supermen always have origin stories, but don't expect radioactivity or alien encounters. 9 times out of 10, they say they took a trip to India. (Why? Search me. There's a healthy Hindu community here, not sure if that's connected.)
So finally some Ghanaian kid wondered, "Have the Black Stars ever played India?" Now, some 40 years on – every generation, every town, every school has a version of what happened in that match. (Apparently Nigeria has one too?! Don't even ask.)
Fact 4: February 1963 had 28 days.
