Kompass, iOS & Android App

Kompass
Native iOS and Android app for streamlined bookings.
I was hired by FBN Qube company to create MVP for the Kompass app.

I had complete ownership of the design process, guiding stakeholders, from early conceptualization to final handoff to developers. After the handoff phase, I worked directly with Android and iOS developers to ensure that the app worked as expected and everything worked as planned.

Developed and conceptualized by:
Serbian-based startup company FBN Qube.

Find Service Flow
Finding the service and scheduling appointments is the primary goal of the app. I have simplified it so users can find what they need and schedule meetings in no time.
For more straightforward navigation, I’ve used the Google Maps pattern, targeting most of the users familiar with this well-known approach.

Business Profile
Business Profile Setup Flow
You can easily set up your business profile within the same app, get verified, and use the app as the business owner.
Business Profile Edit
After a business profile gets approved, users can easily edit everything.

Scheduling Flow

Everything in this app evolves around a straightforward scheduling process. Users will find the service they need, see its location on the map, choose which service provider they want to use, and quickly find a free slot to schedule a service for themselves.
The problem that I had to solve here was to make this simple as possible, yet it had to remain familiar.

Landing Page
Support webpage for Kompass app, showing simple download links for Google Play & Apple App Store and step-by-step explanation on how the app works.
Iconography
Since these icons appear on the app's home page, we needed to have a unified and easily scalable custom icon set.

The demand from the client was to make this icon set unique, so I had to design it from scratch.
I have created my version of the so-called Corporate Memphis for the illustration style. It had to remain familiar yet straightforward and playful, but I wanted to diverge from the standard Corporate Memphis style.
“Corporate Memphis is a term used to describe a flat, geometric art style, widely used in Big Tech illustrations in the late 2010s and early 2020s.”

Kompass Logo
Exploration Phase
The central motif for the logo was a compass since Kompas is a Serbian word for it. Therefore, the Kompass name was created as an amalgam of Serbian and English words, adding one more letter, S, at the end.
