The area for developing is situated in Vladivostok, on the southern slope of the Alexeevsky ridge. The territory belongs to the central part of the city, but it's not still well-planned and urbanized enough. Furthermore, there is no principled approach to solving problems of the place. This fact affects the internal structure of the district and impairs the quality of panoramic views which is very important for the cities with complicated relief. Because of underdevelopment this unique urban zone is not accessible for the citizens.
The singularity consists in the specific land forms. The terrain can be considered as a giant amphitheatre with spectator's seats in the key points of the space.
The project offers the new interpretation of this urban area and fundamental turn towards its humanization and rational structuring. The implementation of the conception begins from the organization of a public space which serves as alternative pedestrian zone to Svetlanskaya Street. Plan proposes the renovation of old links and creation of new connections between main points of these promenades. Morphologically the public space is like extensive observation area which includes open-air public recreation with sport and park zones and roofed street with many useful functions. Such division makes the space continuously working.
