One last sticker for the late, great CW Pencil Enterprise. They asked for an illustration to celebrate 7 years of the shop as they prepared to close.
I wanted to nod to a couple bits of shop history in the details here! There’s the shelves with jars filled with pencils and the front desk where we would carefully wrap and package people’s purchases. There’s the iconic red curtain and checkered floor of the original Forsyth location (where I first started working!). And there are people coming together at one of their community events (I always think about the lettering writing events or Orchard Street Reading Society). There are more too if you look 😉
