Oishi is a fictional Japanese restaurant in England. Claire and Julian contacted me to create the graphic identity of their restaurant.
They wanted a logo that immediately recalls Japanese culture, which echoes their location in the West. Here’s my work.
Artistic Direction

I started designing the Artistic Direction with three colors. Black for its strength of character and its modern relevance. White and red to recall the colors of the Japanese flag. I tried here to recall by the colors and typography of the logo, Asia. I chose to bring a particularly western stylistic dimension to the geographical position of the restaurant. Mix between Asian and Western style, that’s what my work is.
