The Rocks of Hyderabad
Other Kohinoors, The Rocks of Hyderabad is a love letter to Hyderabad and its unique terrain and culture in the form of a musical documentary film; Directed by Uma Magal and Co-produced by Mahnoor Yar Khan. Both Uma and Mahnoor strongly feel the need for a heightened and widespread dialogue to save what is left of the rocks in the city. Even as the city grows in response to the compulsions of 21st century urban realities, it can still do so with a sense of balance, that retains wisely what is left of a stunning and unique geoheritage. The entire campaign consists of raising awareness through the film and webinars which present the different ways in which the rocks of Hyderabad are tied to the local cuisine, stories, songs and poetry.
