I’ll go to Peterborough Cathedral.
Architecture genre.
Approach commercial / fine art.
The audience = anyone who might want to visit/ my co-students.
I intend for the audience to feel awe inspired or at least feel they want to visit. I looked at some Architecture photos of Cathedrals. I was impressed with the idea of taking the photo at floor level. The photographer had made the colours more powerful / vibrant - maybe with long exposure, increasing saturation, using art edit to enhance.
Below is an example of what I will try to achieve.
The narrative is a journey around the outside, inside and then back outside.
I will capture the images in the late afternoon -
weather forecast - sunshine and cloud, clear sunset.
Perspective -
Interior - from the floor.
Exterior - from close up looking up or a zoomed in section for the detail photo.
Cathedral in context I will look to use the entry arch as a frame. The garden in front of the cathedral has multiple paths which I can use to good effect as leading lines to draw the viewers to the subject.
Aspect ratio - portrait.
I’ll experiment with some long exposure images and standard art effects for the interior photos.
I would like to inspire the viewer to visit. I intend this set of images to image how the building was seen in the context of being surrounded by medieval hovels!
