LETVICA
Chair
The Letvica chair is designed as an industrial product cheap for factory production, adaptable to spaces of personal needs and public purposes. easy to assemble, sturdy and stable.
Nature
The character derives from the material used, a slat measuring 24x48. A different way of stacking the slats gives a game of full and empty space that is repeated throughout the chair. Structurally important parts such as the start and end of the seat and the backrest are highlighted in a different color while the primary natural color of the wood combined with white red and blue creates a contrast equal to the fullness and void created by the slats.
Sketches
The idea itself stems from a simple element, a slat. Through analysis and research, possible solutions are reached, which were achieved exclusively with slats. Through the sketches, different joints on the chair were designed, from which the aesthetics of the chair itself derives
Constructive elements
Constructive elements are the main accents of the chair. A similar design pattern is repeated at the junction of the legs, the seat and the backrest. The joints are emphasized by a different treatment of the material
Colors
The chair is available in three different color details: red, blue and white.
The colors were chosen with the aim that, in combination with the natural texture of the wood, they form an accent composition that highlights the joints
Dimensions
With its dimensions, the Letvica is adapted to everyday use at the dining table. The material itself is connected in such a way as to form a strong and light construction that enables mobility. The chair is designed in such a way that it can be packed as a flat pack, but also once folded it can be stacked one on top of the other.
