The brief was to change the perception of a weather condition. I chose to work on "tropical cyclones". People view cyclones as something dark, gloomy and horrifying, although there is thrill in experiencing strong winds
and rain.

Perception is an impression and what you see affects how you think. So I decided to go down this route of changing what you see in reality. Hoping that this would lead people to stay and enjoy the cyclone reather than running away from it.

" Creating a different impression by distorting reality and making it seem like something it isn't, in reality "
my solution was to brand this weather condition as an event. As i looked into perception and distortion it was evident that a psychedelic state could give you both these elements, and a cyclone could also cause these depending on the experience you have. Therefore the approach was to brand this as a tripped out, mind blowing event named "tropical trip". The visual approach was to take strong winds and show its effects on type
and event logo.
