I once talked about how nostalgia can be described as both a positive and a negative emotion. Nostalgia amplifies our sense that we are loved by others, even though we cannot physically relive those bygone joyful moments (Compton & Hoffman, 2012). It relieved individuals’ feelings of loneliness and increased their perceived social support (Zhou et al., 2008).
It’s crazy seeing everybody. All the stuff that we used to do together. This quick catch-up moment evokes a bit of nostalgia. Comprising mainly warmth, joy, and affection yet also including longing and wishfulness. If we are not careful, we can get caught in it. Drown in the ocean of longing past. It’s a turning point.
They asked and I don’t know. She’s just perfect and I need it to be perfect.
It’s a turning point. We need to finish something in our life, something that's been holding us back so that a new chapter can begin. I loved high school, I loved college. I love everything that I’ve been able to do in my life. But I’m probably gonna love what I do next. Whatever happens. So, why spending time looking back when you’ve got so much to look forward to?

One night quick catch-up staycation. A little bit burned out. Needed "home" for a sec.
