The goal for this project was to take an already existing, poorly designed book of our finding, and redesign it, both to better reflect its content, and also to draw in a new audience. I chose John McCarty's book, "Splatter Movies: Breaking the Last Taboo of the Screen," and attempted to make the book's design more of a visceral experience, not unlike the genre of films themselves–a far cry from McCarty's original, black and white layout.
