Design For All

This is a set of designs I did for a course at San Jose State University (DsGD104). All the work in this course was based around a conceptual 'Design for All' event hosted by the Design for All Foundation. Design for All is the intervention on environments, products and services with the aim that everyone, including future generations, regardless of age, gender, capabilities or cultural background, can enjoy participating in the construction of our society, with equal opportunities participating in economic, social, cultural, recreational and entertainment activities while also being able to access, use and understand whatever part of the environment with as much independence as possible.

I used the image and shape of a matryoshka or Russian nesting doll to solve the struggle of representing the idea of design for all graphically. The image bellow is the poster I designed for the event.

The 3D model in the images bellow is a 1in scale model of a dimensional display that would be set up outside the event venue; if built it would stand at 10ft high.
