Preperation
Taken from the interrogation scene in the film 'Basic Instinct' this remake was joined by the iconic Stormtrooper from Star Wars.
From previous work developed with inspiration from Morgan Phillips (The Sucklord) I approached the scene with the intent to keep to scene true to the original and to capture it in a believable setting. With the addition of a Stormtrooper it allowed me to make the scene more personal, relatable and offbeat.

To create the scene I used the pre-existing walls within the photography studios. Accompanied by Liam Shandley to model to costume I started by fitting the suit properly to ensure the atmosphere captured in the photograph was believable.
I am pleased with the final outcome as I feel the image captures what I set out to achieve. I enjoyed the process of developing my photography skills as it's something I haven't felt comfortable with in the past. I am now confident with setting up equipment, using the camera and setting it appropriately to the scene.

Creating the image involved piecing together 3 of the final images with the board and LED lights positioned in three different places. Due to health and safety smoke was also added during the production.
Lighting was developed during my previous test shoot for the scene. Due to the shape of the helmet I needed to achieve the balance of light cast over the face as closely to the original as possible. This meant adjusting the light source, using different soft boxes and changing settings.
The LED lights in the background were set to a cold blue colour to capture the atmosphere within the interrogation scene.
The costume was rented out from a fancy dress store located near by and was fitted appropriately using rubber bands, bulldog clips and padding inside around the chest area.
