G2 2021: Time to remember
This project is the result of a vector illustration course at Domestika by Wes Art Studio. The objective of the course is to build an illustration that looks like a movie or comic book poster.
PROCESS
Layout of three vignettes to cover the five members of the team. In the top vignette I chose an image with a high expressive charge, in the next one I concentrated the competitive expressions and in the last one a more relaxed touch of enjoyment. As for the color palette in addition to black I decided to go for the colors of the eSports team itself. These are, in addition to black (Black 6C), red (483C) and white (663C).
Based on the comic style, in the upper right corner is the title of the illustration with the American Captain typography. There are also small boxes or text in with the chosen typography is Anime Ace 2.0. To offset the typography at the top, I chose Armor Piercing to add the names of the main characters and the signature. To complete the illustration, the logos of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) and G2 Esports were added.

PROCESS
This vignette is composed by a small one inside a big one, so that visually it can give dynamism and a good union between the characters.
Regarding the color, a tricolor palette has been used that includes a purple, a green and a light gray. This combination helps the purple to stand out, a color that symbolizes the female struggle, which is another message of the illustration.
Typography: 'Hi Monday' has been used for the title, 'Anime Ace 2.0' for the subtitles and upper text box and 'Armor Piercing' for the signatures. The official LEC logo is also used with the tittle of the illustration.
The magical drink
Comic book style illustration of Rasmus 'Caps' Winther, from League of Legends team G2 Esports. The focus of the drawing remains on a green shake with takes importance as its highlighted in neon. The background helps giving that groovy and psicodelic vibe.
PROCESS
This vignette is composed by one character sitting on a gaming chair. The colour palete is similar to the reference picture to keep it as natural as possible. This is because the main focus of the drawing is the green drink the character is holding, which uses different tones of green and whites with blur to make it radioactive. The vision for it was The SImpsons radioactive bulb Homer manipulates at the start of the series.
Regarding the background, it follows a groovy and psichodelic vibe to accompany the drink.
