Grand Cavalier Riviera


The task
Grand Cavalier is a well known spirits maker. They decided to create a fresh and light version of sparkling wine for the upcoming summer, inspired by the French Riviera style holidays. We had a task to create a name and packaging.

Challenge
It is being sold in the big supermarkets among mid price range drinks, that are mostly dark. We had to find a standing out solution.



Solutions
We decided to choose the bottle that is transparent and itself communicates the lightweight emotion. Then, we were inspired by the French summers and its beaches. This way we’ve created two striped patterns resembling the beach umbrellas or chairs. Also, we’ve  created an unusual shape for the label to have the same airy holidays feeling.
Moreover, we were crafty with the details. Even though the price range is not too high, we added black foil, embossing and UV Varnish to emphasise logo, pattern and details. It gives premium touch to it and this way, user can get the sense of tactility.​​​​​​​


What's Golden?
Despite the price range being quite low, we managed to get some premium effects, such as black foil, embossing and UV Varnish. Also, we changed the colour of the bottle, so that it would complement the idea of a light drink.
