Interior design concept

The idea pursued in the project of the Casa Umbria show room stem from a complex enterprise which brings the public and the private sectors together, bound by the values and vocation of a strongly characterized region. Three big companies, three leading international brands in the fields of interior design and decorating joined by territorial affiliation and supported by Regione Umbria (Umbria Region) and the Centro Estero per l'Umbria (Umbria Trade Agency).

The project focused on looking for unifying traits while defending diversities and complexities all the same. This is why the 'Stanze' ('Rooms') project was conceived by Bcpt Associati of Marco Tortioli Ricci and Achraf Hakim Ham. Within a single architectural space the project describes a compound of microarchitectures which relates different languages and composite materials merged by the same stylistic discourse. We have not merely displayed products; rather, we have chosen to narrate the environments apt to define that strange alchemy which makes the Italian style rich, authentic and essential.

The architectural space is articulated by metallic structures whose profiles draw shapes that echo the stylistic features of the medieval buildings in Umbrian towns. In this sense the 'rooms' are a secluded, intimate space, yet connected with the surrounding environment.
