THREE ALBUM COVER ITERATIONS/ EXPERIMENTATIONS:
The following three images were my chosen three album cover iterations that I refined, all of which I was leaning towards equally to be my final selection.
REFLECTION:
I was pleasantly surprised with how these all turned out, especially my final chosen result. I say this considering the 'lack of' expertise I have with adobe products. I think doing this assessment piece highlighted that I should utilise my own work - i.e. my own assets/ drawings - for work like this; they serve better purposes than just being illustrations in my sketch-books. Despite being happy with how my final image (far left) turned out, part of me wishes I spent more time refining the third image (far right) as I believe there is a deeper symbolic message being communicated, especially with how beautifully simple it is. I am unsure of how to approach adding more to my work when reflecting, even when I state that the process for all of these would be very simple... just like Sam Smith's original album cover.
The entire process of doing this assessment, despite not allocating more time to it than I should have, was a lot more enjoyable than I already anticipated it to be. I was pleasantly surprised that all my images were my own from my phone; not needing to rely on stock images.
