It was "Pacific Rim" fever and an illustration project melded together to form some sort of an alternate alternate universe. I like the idea of Alice following a rabbit and ending up somewhere entirely different from where we know the story says it leads to.

 

There's always an element of danger and darkness in fairy tales that we seem to never notice as children. But a second glance always reveals actually how morbid they can be.
