mOOO2 [POPS] LONDON (Honorable Mention)
The industrial image of the locomotive station and conscientious Londoners have been a regalia in King Cross, taken as the inspiration to conjure an idea to redefine public space. Regardless of new normal post Covid-19; What if architecture about collaboration in isolation instead of complete isolation? The idea is to rebrand the memorial experience using the architecture of space as a living organism.

The public’s intervention demonstrated by arranging a series of objects (Hedron), creating both functional and experiential series of spaces. Concerning that, the event accommodates geometric typologies of structures, encouraging the public to conceive a series of relationships and narratives. The 1-month lasting event consists of 4 weeks phases of Hedrons assemblage programme that opened for the public to conceive tesseracts. Assorted components of the Tesseract’s Hedrons spread out randomly in Coal Drop Yards of London. Public participation of assemblage events guided by manuals of instruction for them to foregather the Hedrons into Tesseracts. Each Hedrons navigates via an analogue of a unique mechanism that manoeuvred in the (X, Y, Z) axis. The progress of augmentation of the tesseracts occurred in stages by week. The cathartic effect of complete assemblage later conjured light particles that stood out as a reward and also a subtle metaphor of Covid-19 virus. In conclusion, the concept of isolation juxtaposed by a series of delightful public collaboration that impacts them how to adapt the new normal to achieve the singular goals of conceiving the Tesseracts, commemorated as the memorial for Covid-19 casualties.
