We were approached by the National Kidney Foundation to create a promotional animation to attract potential candidates to their peer support program.
We were provided with their script along with branding elements containing character illustrations from Mary Long as reference. We commenced the storyboarding and illustration of assets. In the animation we combined 2D and 3D techniques with no shortage of path animation. We wanted to tell their story in a way that is fun and hopeful without taking away from the serious nature of the subject matter.
The scene transitions proved especially challenging and fun, attempting to preserve the seamless flow of the narrative.
Once the animation was ready we added sound design and music to add extra life to the story. The client was very happy and we look forward to seeing the results of their campaign.
