I created a monochromatic self-portrait painting of myself on a 16 x 20 canvas-inch board. I used a picture of myself as the reference for this painting. For my monochromatic color scheme, I decided to use various shades of blue ranging from light to dark. I chose blue since this is my favorite color and I thought it would match well with the theme. I used darker blues for areas that were darker on me. For example, my shirt, hair, eyebrows, etc. I used lighter shades of blue on areas that were lighter on me such as the shirt collar, my neck, eyes, and certain parts of my face. The materials I used for this painting were 16 x 20 canvas-inch board, a paint brush, Ultramarine Blue, Titanium White, and Mars Black.
