The City of Wylie is Proud to Present...
Thank you to Madelyn Liles for the makeover on our brand new city logo! The logo represents the progressive direction of the county, while balancing the historical values of our beautiful city! The transitional colors glide from fields to soaring skies!
Wide Awake Wylie!
Here is the extensive work Madelyn has done in order to get this logo out for us!
First, Madelyn started by interviewing locals and taking pictures for her research of the downtown area. She found out a lot about our rich history from our historical website, detailing about the founding of Wylie and the importance of the railroad in this community. Today, the railroad still exists as a functioning transportation of mass-products, often ushering in the expansion of our newer residents.
Second, Madelyn started by researching local brands and interviewing local favorites from some people in downtown Wylie. Her research spans from well-known brands, to neighboring cities, and features some local goods!
For her next step, she assembled a mood board and color palette that matched the beauty of Wylie's history, detailing the importance of the railroad thematically throughout her design work. Southern culture is a big part of our culture, too.
