"Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" is a novel shrouded in mysticism, and is considered the most mysterious of all the works of the famous Japanese writer Haruki Murakami.
The book's dust jacket is inspired by one of the main images of this novel, namely mythical creatures - beasts with golden fur and a unicorn, or rather, its skull.
The texture of the wool of golden animals occupies a significant part of the cover, as well as the flyleaf of the book. This image is quite common in the book and is the background, so I decided to use a texture to depict the "background" of this element.
The unicorn's skull is part of the frame, but takes on a lot of attention as the main object. This technique is also made from the point of view of turning the emphasis on this image - it is one of the most important things in the book.
The selection of fonts, as well as the style of the frame, refers to the City in which one of the heroes of this work turns out to be.
