Although the first concept includes a lot of elements that were included in the final illustration, it lacked the patient fury that I wanted to portray. It was ultimately scrapped, although I do still have a soft spot for it.

In the end, she became a sentinel in the night, and a pillar of fortitude. Saints are usually meant to be ever-kind and gracious... I wish one would be kind enough to keep an eye on the person who wronged me.
