Jatayu is a part of My Personal Illustration Series Project Ramayana. The inspiration is taken from the internationally famous local Mask Making Culture from Majiuli, Assam. They are made for loaclaly performed traditional dramas based on the Indian Mythological Serieses.
The Goal is to create a series of illustrations which is a interplay of geometry(Modern) and asymmetry(Traditional) as you can see in the works the illustration is geometrical but not symmetrical thus preserving the feel of handwork and lack of accurate measurements.
The colour palette is kept as earthy as possible which is inspired from the handmade colours made in with various substances.
