7th semester project for an open grocery market, a supermarket, roof parking and an info point for a footpath on the outskirts of the centre of Ljubljana.
The proposed project unites the entire programme under a single roof, that enables fluidity of space underneath. On the roof, there are 100 parking lots.The construction is in concrete, with pillars organized on a grid that support the roof. The structures underneath the roof are mostly transparent, while the parking lot on the roof is enveloped in larch lath that enables views on to the surrounding area with the little stream, while hiding the parked cars.
At night, the building is lit with lights installed in the ceiling of the overhung part of the roof, that shine down on the public, semi-covered open market.
