3-Dimensional Design Project 2: Packaging Line

3-Dimensional Design: Packaging Line
Project Summary: The objective of this project was to present a packaging line for a known business/brand with products that would otherwise not be associated with the chosen-brand. I ended up choosing Banana Republic for my brand and created a beginner's crochet-kit. This project started with a lot of researching into Banana Republic and figuring out what their mission as a company is. I wanted to make sure my packaging line matched up with the identity and mission of the brand.

Some challenges I faced with the design section of this project was with the structural integrity of my packaging. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to prototype packages for scissors and crochet hooks. :) I had to do research over a few days to gather examples of packaging for those products. I initially was going to use a plastic covering over the top of my scissors, but went a different direction after deciding it would give my product a "cheap" feel.

The images that follow show the individual packaging, physical display for in-store purchase, and an unboxing clip.

This project was accomplished through the use of the following programs: Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.
