San Gyu

Brand Identity development for San Gyu

Introducing one of the most enjoyable projects we had with Indonesia’s Culinary
Multi-Brand Company:
 Hangry Indonesia.
While developing the logotype, we were heavily influenced by Japanese Characters and their curvy, airy features. These characteristics became the basis of our development to give the Identity a Japanese look and feel. Inspired by the Japanese family crests, we created the logo-mark depicting the Shiba Inu’s tail: The Three Shiba’s Family Crest.
Once upon a time, the three brothers disguised themselves as abandoned puppies to look for shelter. This led to their meeting with the poor, lonesome GyuDon Chef, San. He took the brothers in as if they were his own and thoughtfully raised them. Soon, the restaurant was magically flooded with customers. Little did San know, the Shiba brothers have a secret. Blessed with hidden gifts, the Shibas silently helped San make his business prosper.
Sai – The Eldest Brother
A ninja who is adept at hunting and slicing. He silently helps San gather meat, meticulously cutting them to keep the juices intact.

Don – The Middle Brother
Having the cleanest look, Don is adept at numbers and mathematics. He secretly made adjustments to the restaurant in order to boost its sales.

Gyu – The Youngest Brother
Behind his unassuming look, Gyu has a unique talent. Upon touching any cooking utensils, he transforms into an Ashura that professionally cooks anything he touches swiftly with a graceful flair.
