For this project, I was to design a poster depicting your favorite musician, group, song, album, festival or concert in one of the historically significant design styles. The design style that I got was Hatch Show Print. My poster also had to include at least one hand-crafted element that integrates with your digital final. The tactile part of my poster is the gradient background, which blended ink together to create that texture.

Here are my sketches I did for this project. Sketch number 29 is the idea that my final design was based around. I wanted to do a city for my Neffex poster since it matches the aesthetic of the band. I also had to find away to make both the style of the band work into a hatch show print style design.

This is one of my comps for this project and the one that I went towards in the end. I decided to go with a gradient background because I had noticed a lot of hatch show print posters had some form of gradient on it and I also wanted to go for a printed look/texture. After some helpful critique I changed the colors to be more bright and vibrant like you would normally see in a hatch show print poster. I also changed up the layout/flow of the poster and centered the bottom text. Another thing I changed was I moved the fox logo to the top of the poster and created a pattern with it. In hatch show print posters you would see a lot of stars that spand across the page like that.
