MODYSTKA RE:DESIGN

The project presents a signboard, shop window and visual identification for a milliner from Gdynia. During this process, we decided to change the previous name "misstery" to something that would fit better here. "MODYSTKA" means a woman who create and sells hats. This word is the main element of the signboard, which is made of specially designed letters cuts from the metal. The shop window shows contact details and linear illustrations of hats. On the right side of the façade, a semaphore is attached, consisting of a hat signet visible on the sign. The implementation was supervised by the Conservator of Monuments in Gdynia, thanks to which the entire ground floor of the building and the window frames were restored to their original color.

VISUAL IDENTITY

Identification is based on linear and simplified hat forms. It consists of typical prints - business card, letterhead, stickers, leaflets. Printed on specially selected paper. In addition, there are price tags, a packing ribbon and special jacquard inserts for the inside of headgear. There were also materials for social media. Specially selected typography and sparse form refers to the tradition of modernism.

Modystka re:design is part of Patryk Skoczylas diploma project at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź under the supervisor of Hakobo. Realized by Traffic Design in 2022.
