Pet Wellfare Adoption Center is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter located in Eglin AFB, FL. I was fortunate enough to volunteer with them for almost a year. During that time, I helped keep the center clean and the animals healthy, assisted in adoption events, and lent my design services to their web site and promotional materials.

 

Cats and dogs are difficult to photograph is the best of conditions. They are always moving, and they are not concerned with posing for the camera. Due to the large number of animals at Pet Welfare, keeping current photos on the web site is a huge undertaking. Many of the photos were out of date, blurry, or dark. I volunteered my time in order to get photos of all the animals and capture their unique personalities to help these loveable guys find "fur"-ever homes. This project was SO rewarding for me, and a lot of these guys are now adopted. I even remember all of their names! These are just a few of the pets I photographed during my time at Pet Welfare.
