Salty Whale’
Medium- driftwood, wire Coral's university books, saw, wood burner, acrylic black paint, gloss paint finisher salty whale.
Story captured in arty design- finished product of the driftwood 'salty whale', I am so happy with the arty driftwood design, but what are your thoughts??
Story captured arty design- driftwood already was burnt at the front of the driftwood, so I thought it would be a perfect blow hole for the whale. Usually before crafting out a salty creatures, Coral's observes the shape of the wood first, thinks which shape suits a certain salty creature, then going on to starting to sawing and cutting the wood, the create progresses.
Story captured arty design- on a piece of wood with lead pencil I marked out the shape of the whale fluke its the name of the whale tail. Cut and sawed the shape of the fluke then paint with black acrylic paint on the side and the front and back.
Story captured arty design- above perspective of the 'salty whale', top part of the whale, Coral's used the saw to make different patterns that consist of horizontal and straight lines.
Story captured in arty design -back view of the 'salty whale', such beautiful driftwood to craft out a beautiful marine animal of the ocean.
