The Plant Stand
This project is a shelf designed to hold house plants and supplies for their care while also not taking up too much room in a small townhouse or apartment.
The first step in the process of creating it was brainstorming ideas for the design. some of the early concepts involved incorporating a planting box. However, it was decided that this was impractical, as being designed for campus housing meant it needed to be able to be moved in and out of a space without issue.
The stand was constructed in a challenge event where it was measured, cut and assembled in a four hour period using woodshop tools. It was then primed and coated with water and dirt resistant paint.
