Here is a logo concept that I'm exploring for Save Cantonese, an international movement that began at Stanford University in December 2019. It sustains and celebrates the Cantonese language and culture.
The concept represents protection created by a shield with steam trains and pickaxes that gave to the idea of honoring the contributions of the Chinese workers who helped build the transcontinental railroad 160 years ago. They came from the southern coastal Canton province and spoke Cantonese as their first language.
The concept of the main logo represents an abstract S monogram created by bubble speech that gives the idea of language and the first word of the logo, "save".
