Solo Exhibition, Wednesday 16 April, The Tate - 345 Glebe Pt Rd, Glebe, Sydney.
"Working with image, shape and function, Luschia Porter uses her experiments with illustration to form shapes that create functional objects. Her interest and disappointment in the disposable nature of common objects has shaped her practice. From redefining found McDonald’s litter to designing and manufacturing furniture and small objects in Sydney, Luschia works with materials to discuss what she thinks needs illumination.
For ‘Object Implications’ Luschia will be showing her latest large and small-scale Illustrations and experiments in Object and Furniture Design. The audience will be invited to take part in potting plants into her hand-made, polyhedral, resin objects."
