____

Write a story based on one of four themes, Loss, Luck, Guilt, Risk and create a book around it. It was important that the design of the book was original and explored new ideas.

How To Lose Your Childhood is a short story which describes the unhappiness I experienced working as a waiter at a young age. The concept behind my book is its resemblance to the ‘waiter pad’, a tool I often used during my time at the hotel.

____

Inside the pad the text repeats, each time revealing a little more of the story. Not only does this represent the monotonous tasks I would undertake but also shows that it took 3 years of minimum wage to truly reveal all that my childhood innocence been lost.

Page numbers represent order number.
Perforations simulate the uses of a real waiter pad.
