This label design is for our home brewed Scottish Heather Ale.

 

Heather ale, which uses heather instead of hops, is rich, sweet, earthy, and very floral. A burly Scottish Viking frolicking in the heather with his Highland Cow seemed to me to perfectly evoke the manliness of Scottish ale with the carefree, childlike taste of the heather. 

 

We named the beer after the common pronunciation of the Highland Cow. 

 

The label is designed to be printed clearly by a home printer on a small card, which is then tied to the neck of our reusable swing-top style bottles, for an effective, memorable, and temporary presentation of our home brew.
