Working with the client, I determined that the logo should play off of the fact that they live in a cold climate known for its polar bears. As well, Winterpeg is a well-known nickname for the city of Winnipeg. With that information in mind, I began experimenting with styles incorporating a Polar Bear and aspects of knitting. Finally, I landed on a cartoon look for the bear and a ball of yarn that provided a frame around the bear. The choice of icy blue in the logo represents winter and cold.
