TORTILLA REPUBLICO
About:
An imaginary restaurant that introduces tortillas to the Southern African market. It's main selling point is delicious, flavourful, and tasty tortillas that are made with premium ingredients. They want to establish a clientele within the South African market by offering delicious food with outstanding service while having a colour combination unique to them and their brand.
Brief:
I was tasked to create a logo that is simple, easy-to-remember but distinct and classic. I was also asked to use red, teal, and tan as the main colour combination.
Solution:
My solution was to create a logo that is similar but distinct, a shape of a star, memorable and easy to recognise. The star is synonymous with Mayan people, as their flag would suggest and the burrito originates from their region. I couple the logo with type that modern and rounded off, for a more friendly approach for the young audience, but classic feel for the senior audience. I used red, green, and teal, as those the colours that best encourage hunger when seen.
