Manipulation of time
Time lapses for me started as an experiment. Since my main passion is astrophotography, I had always wanted to try to do a time lapse. Looking up at the cosmos, time seems to stand still for me Anna even had a healing aspect. It’s a process that is hard to explain and even harder to conceptualise other than it’s like an eerie feeling that I can’t wait to return to. With a time lapse I can manipulate and experience time in a completely different way. Taking sometimes up to 4+ hours of still images in an interval I can speed time up to around thirty seconds. It’s a magical experience, especially having been at the location. It allows me to see our Milky Way galaxy race through the night sky as the earth spins. It makes you realise how small we are in the big scheme of things and brings so much into perspective.
