First, a disclaimer: EVERY city in Ukraine suffers from the russian genocidal war.
Some cities see every atrocity of the insidious war russians wage against Ukraine, others are currently in relative safety. There are still shellings and constant air raid alerts but also thousands of volunteer hubs, shelters, cafes, museums, shops, and hospitals are working. Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv and others provide much needed safe havens (again, very relative because they, too, get shelled by russians), but they welcome and take care of Ukrainians from the cities that are either suffering exponentially from the russian bombs every single day or are completely erased from the face of the Earth.
