With decision to restore the Corral de Don Diego, the City of Toledo Consortium was clear: this recostruction would connect the people of Toledo with culture and heritage. Several attempts have been made to revive the space. There is my proposal for the landmark of Toledo.

About
Corral de Don Diego is located in what used to be the Palacio de los Trastámara. It is a fine example of the medieval urbanism of 13th-century Toledo, whose buildings formed a courtyard accessible through a single door that closed at dusk.

Concept
The reconstruction of the square, as well as its buildings, will provide a fresh look at the abandoned square of the old town, which, in addition to the amphitheater, will also housing and commerce.

The lower floors will be used for small businesses, while the residential floors are protected from visual noise by closed balconies.

Приміщення нижніх поверхів будуть використовуватися для малого бізнесу, тоді як житлові поверхи вище захищені від візуального шуму закритими балконами.
Above the main entrance to the square, it is proposed to create a protective roof over the historical wall, decorated in the form of a monolithic concrete block, which refers (include balconies) to the cube-shape palace opposite.

Над головним входом до площі пропонуються створити захисний дах над історичною стіною, оформлену у вигляді монолітного бетонного блоку, що разом з балконами відсилає до кубічної форми палацу навпроти.

Each tile is planned to be created by hand to revive the space with creativity and art.
