During quarantine, I spent extensive time in my home learning about and bettering myself. In doing so, I came across assorted spiritual practices under the umbrella of witchcraft, or “wicca”. I became a collector of crystals, herbs, books, and decor centered around spiritual healing. Knowing what I do now about practices that seemed immoral from my sheltered religious upbringing, my goal of this illustration library and mini-product line was to cater the spiritual life to people across all walks of life, encouraging those who might have been once like me to expand their horizons and try something new.
Sketches for Witchy Wares (Set 1)- I have always been fascinated by the heavenly bodies, and I try to incorporate them frequently in my practices. I knew I wanted to include them in my illustration library.
Sketches for Witchy Wares (Set 2)- As I have continued my exploration, I have found myself further fascinated by the capabilities of the Greek goddess of witchcraft, Hecate. I wanted to add some of her popular symbols, so I focused on the belladonna flower, an athame or ritual knife, keys, and snakes.
